Answered by Rainbow Flowers

A:
Well, speaking from the perpective of your employer - work. They pay you to not only be present at your job but to actually work as well. Whether you're bored or not is immaterial. If there IS no work for you to do, then approach your boss for more. Not only will this give you a reputation for being proactive and enthusiastic, but also will increase your chances for a raise or promotion. Work isn't always fun and exciting. A lot of it is, well, just work.

Hey, I know this might sound tiring, but the best thing to do is ask the people around you (everyone, not just people that you know aren't going to have something for you to do) if they need help, or if they have any 'chores' to do. And there is no reason to be 'bored' at work, because there is always something to do, weather you want to do it or not. And, think of it this way, if you do a good (or great!) job on your work, AND do extra, you will probably get a raise, and gain praise and recognition from your boss. And people will know that you are a hard working worker, and they will respect you. That's what I did! :) I hope this answers your question!

Well...it kinda depends. First:Where do you work? Second:What are you interests? Third:Is your boss a realstuck up jerk? So then if you like reading. Then bring a book. If you like to draw then bring a pad of paper and draw whatever is around you. Of course a pencil too. If you like music bring an MP3 Player, or I-Pod If you have a cell-phone that can go on the internet bring that. If you have a portable DVD PLayer bring that and a movie. If you don't like to read then you should try it. It is really healthy and fun. If you aren't an artist, then just bring the pad and just doodle. You could mabey even write stories, poems, songs, or something on there. If you don't have an I-Pod or an MP3 Player then...sorry can't help you there. If you don't have an internet-accesing phone. Well again I can't really help you there. Don't bring the Portable DVD PLayer if that would make you get fired. This isn't that much help. But I hope it helped...=]

Think of what you would like to do and write up a plan to get there. Follow your hart and never look back. but have a solid well researched plan and stick to it .This is the most positive way to succeed. Write out your plan and then the early goals step buy step. I see the difference between rich and poor is paying the price of doing it right.

First, make sure you're being a REALLY responsible employee instead of the "dime-a-dozen" kind...which is to say, make sure you've done every task for which you are responsible REALLY well! Then, if you still don't have enough to do, show the boss your initiative by trying to learn knew things that are done at that business. This could pay off in a variety of ways. a) helps you keep your job when the layoffs start your boss has to make a decision about who goes between you and one or more less-responsible, less enthusiastic/motivated employees having the same "seniority". He/She will be far less likely to pick you if you have extra skills and a demonstrated determine to do a good job and to learn new things. b) every new skill you learn is something you take with you long after you've move left the current job. Why only learn the skills associated with your job. AND, who knows, it might put you in line for a promotion or a raise. c) having a broader array of skills might be the thing that gets YOU the next job over someone of the same age and years of experience but with a smaller skill set. That you just want to kill the boredom in unproductive ways speaks volumes about you to others...that could be immaturity and inexperience if you're young and this is your first job or it could be an example of a really bad habit you are developing or have developed. Make the most of your work days by developing new skills. Once they are in your repertoire, no one can take them away from you even when that job is far behind you!!! Good luck! Lee
